DATA CENTER SPECIALIST

This 3-day course provides in-depth knowledge of all key components and aspects of a Mission Critical Datacenter facility. Participants are provided with various datacenter design case studies (e.g., single line diagrams, DCO layouts) from information presented is put into practice. Participants present key findings to their peers with the intent of improving and correcting design and operational flaws.

Intended Audience

Individuals who have direct responsibilities of datacenter operations and maintenance and requires a thorough understanding of the key components and aspects of Mission Critical Datacenter facilities operation and maintenance at a Specialist level. For example: Datacenter Operations Managers, Datacenter Designers, Facilities Managers, IT Service Delivery Managers, IT Technical Marketing and Technical Sales Representatives, IT Department Managers.

Exam

Attendees will take a 2-hour Certified Datacenter Specialist exam. Attendees who pass the exam will be awarded the “Certified Datacenter Specialist” (CDCS) certificate. This is an industry recognized and prestigious certificate. Such a distinction will open doors to many professional facility management and datacenter jobs both locally, nationally, and internationally. The CDCS certificate is valid for 3 years, after which 1.5-day refresher course and a 2-hour exam will be required to maintain CDCS certification.

CERTIFIED DATACENTER OPERATION MANAGER

The Certified Data Centre Operations Manager course is a two day course designed to expose participants to the key elements involved in day to day IT Operations. It will highlight the overall framework needed to run an IT organization in a controlled manner as demanded in volatile and high availability business organizations. Proven best practices will be addressed upon in order to reveal detailed inside information on how to get the most out of IT Operations, whereas results are instantly accomplished without making huge investments in soft– or hardware. By virtually touching the IT Operations processes end-to-end, all aspects relevant for being successful in running and maintaining critical data center’s are available.

Intended Audience

The primary audience for this course are system and network engineers, Infrastructure / Operational Managers and CIO’s that are responsible for delivering and improving high quality IT Operations in business critical environments.

Exam

Certification exams will be administered at the end of the last day of the course. The exam is a one-hour, 40 questions, closed book exam. Results of the exam pass/fail will be communicated to the attendee within two weeks after the examination. Attendees who pass the exam will receive the official ‘Certified Data Centre Operations Manager Certificate.

DATA CENTER EQUIPMENT ENGINEER

Data Center Equipment engineer is a one day course which will be closed with a class room based Q & A to test the attendees knowledge. No certification exam is applicable for this course. Our partner, EPI does provide a wide range of data center courses which do carry a world-wide accredited exam. There are three levels of certification for Mission Critical Site that can be seen from our Training section.
This course will provide anybody involved with installing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) equipment in the data centre valuable lessons on how to effectively install equipment without causing potential short term and long term negative effect which might impact equipment reliability and ultimately business downtime.

Intended Audience

The primary audience for this course is an IT, Facilities or Data Centre Operations professional working in and around the data centre and having responsibility to achieve and improve hi-availability and manageability of the data centre.

Endorsement

This course does not carry a Certification exam. However, attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course which is world-wide endorsed and recognized by the “ICOR Group’. ICOR operates worldwide and is a not-for-profit education and credentialing organization that provides professional development, certification, thought-leadership, and the latest in research and industry trends in the area of organizational resilience.
